The value of the story in your Wedding Report

A wedding is a love story to tell. The photographer is like a writer, he recounts chapter by chapter what happens with his camera. He not only takes single photographs but images that are part of a valuable document They have a narrative thread to describe what happens.

The wedding narrative is important because it allows us to read the story, with a beginning, middle and end without getting bored. He tells us aboutallIt is how the protagonists are and what they do. Each photographer has a different style, it depends on his vision, technique and sensitivity to describe a wedding.

The photographer is a silent observer who documents planned and spontaneous moments, witnesses emotional gestures, joy and sadness. He chooses the detallis and situations that contribute to the story of the wedding. A good photographer not only has to demonstrate technical ability but also narrative sensitivity and ability to synthesize.

At FdB we have been working for many years to enhance wedding photography and help you find the ideal photographer. We hold an annual FDB Awards contest consisting of two categories: individual photography and category Wedding Story. 

In the latter, a complete report consisting of 20 photographs is awarded. This forces photographers to choose only the most meaningful photos. It is an excellent way to learn more about the narrative criteria of the photographers of our group.

Last year the photographer was the winner Jose Ignacio Ruiz from Photo Instants, (Madrid) has taken the palm as the best Photo Narrator 2020. Miguel Bolaños (Alicante) has qualified for second place and Andrreu Doz (Barcelona) in third position
