🎧 Simultaneous translation of all conferences 🇪🇸🇮🇹 DENISE MOTZ
Dutch photographer with a deeply personal vision and an extraordinary narrative sensibility.

Winner of the Premios FdB 2020, his work speaks for itself: without artifice, without poses, with a visual honesty that stops you in your tracks.

In Syracuse, he will share his perspective, his creative process, and what it means to build a unique style in such a competitive market.

FRANCESCO GRAVINA
Francesco Gravina has been photographing weddings in Italy and destinations like Japan, Mexico, and Switzerland for over a decade, with a photojournalistic, discreet, and deeply human approach. He has been recognized in several international competitions. Francesco believes that a wedding is not a staged event—it is an experience that deserves to be lived and told authentically.

In Syracuse he will talk about visual narrative, how to read a situation before shooting, and why elegance in photography is not sought: it is found.

GIULIO ABBINANTI
Business matters. And we need to talk about it frankly.

Giulio Abbinanti is a marketing guru for photographers. His mission: to help you get your work to the people who deserve it.

At Siracusa, you will be given concrete tools to position yourself better, communicate more clearly, and build a sustainable business around your photography.

ANTONIO LA MALFA
A photographer from Milazzo, with an elegant and refined style. He works primarily in the stunning setting of the Aeolian Islands.

Awarded by ANFM in the Album of the Year category. Recognized as one of the best wedding photographers in Italy.

+ SURPRISE GUEST

DOUBTS?

That's normal. Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions — and if you don't find yours, feel free to write to us.

How do advance tickets work?

The first 10 people to register get a €200 discount by entering the code ANTICIPA200 When you make your reservation. Plus, you can lock in your price with just €100 by choosing to pay in two installments. No rush, no risk.

How is payment made?

When you register, you choose whether you want a ticket with or without a room. From there, the process is simple: you pay an initial fee to reserve your spot and the remainder before the event. We accept credit cards and bank transfers.

Do we have to pay it all at once?

No. You can split the payment into two installments: one part now to secure your spot, and the remaining €200 one month before the event. This makes it easier to organize.

What if I get a job during the event?

We completely understand that this can happen. Therefore, if you need to cancel, we will refund your booking fee as long as you notify us at least two weeks before the event.

Is it only for professional photographers?

Not at all. Connecting Sicily is for anyone who loves wedding photography — whether you've been in the industry for years or you're just starting out and want to learn by surrounding yourself with the best.

How do photoshoots work?

Editorial photoshoots are organized in detailalland in unique locations in Ortigia. There will be models in wedding dresses, carefully curated settings, and enough time for each participant to practice and build their portfolio at their leisure.

How many places are there?

Maximum 30. It's a conscious decision: we want it to be a group you truly connect with, where everyone knows each other and no one gets lost in the crowd. When they're gone, they're gone.

What language are the conferences in?

The conferences will be held in Spanish and Italian, with translation in both languages. Wherever you're from, you won't miss a thing.

Do I need to book the room?

It's not mandatory. You can include a shared room (we'll assign you one with another attending photographer) or a private room in your booking, for €150 or €200 respectively—three nights with breakfast included. The rooms are in the same building in Ortigia, a short walk from the conference venue. If you prefer to find your own accommodation, you can do so without any problem.

Where are the conferences held?

In the former convent of San Francesco di Paola — Ex Convento del Ritiro — a room with original frescoes in a 17th-century palace in the heart of Ortigia. A space that is, in itself, an experience.
